Parker Carter
HEAD COACH
Coach Carter is the founder and head coach of Southern Sluggerz Organization LLC. His passion is helping young athletes build confidence, develop fundamentally sound baseball skills, and learn valuable life lessons through the game.From organizing practices and tournaments to building partnerships with local sponsors and expanding the Southern Sluggerz organization, Coach Carter is dedicated to providing opportunities that help young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.
Travell Jones
ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Jones is committed to teaching the fundamentals of baseball while building a team culture centered around effort, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. He believes in creating a positive environment where players can learn, compete, have fun, and grow both on and off the field. His goal is to help each athlete become a better player, teammate, and person while building memories that last.
Shane Davis
ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Shane believes success is earned long before game day. His coaching philosophy is built around preparation, relentless effort, attention to detail, and a mindset that embraces competition. He challenges players to push beyond their comfort zones, learn from every mistake, and give their best effort every time they step on the field. While developing strong baseball skills and a deeper understanding of the game, Coach Shane emphasizes confidence, accountability, and the desire to compete. His goal to help each player become tougher, smarter, and more confident-while building the foundation they need to succeed at the next level and beyond.
Haley Stinson
ASSISTANT COACH
I’m excited to be an Assistant Coach with the Southern Sluggerz. As both a coach and a parent, I know how important youth sports are in building confidence, friendships, and life skills. Baseball has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share that passion with the next generation. My goal is to help our players develop not only their baseball skills, but also the character, work ethic, resilience, and teamwork that will serve them long after their playing days are over. I believe in creating a positive, encouraging environment where every player can grow, gain confidence, and most importantly, have fun while learning the game.
